Quick Craft Tip to Get the Most from Your Glue

Hi everyone. I started using this glass to put my glue in. I just hate when I know that there is still glue in the bottle and I have done everything I can to get the glue to the tip but still can't get anything out of it.  Knowing I am going to have to throw it away, just burns my biscuits. That just seems so wasteful and with crafting supplies costing as much as they do, I can't afford to waste anything. Here is my video and my solution to that problem. I hope that you like it.

RAK from Ms. Evy (Turquesadot on YouTube)

Evy sent Jesse and Mariah all kinds of goodies all the way from Puerto Rico and they were so excited. She also sent me some really cute things and I wanted to share the video with you. The kids stood in front of the door so it really made it difficult to record the video; so I wanted to apologize for the quality of this video before you see it.

Mrs. Bell's Count Me Book

I made this book for my little girls class. The top half of the book has the numbers 1 thru 10 with circles that corespond with the numbers. Then the bottom half of the book has different punch art and the numbers are mixed up. The kids have to find the page with the one picture on it. Then they turn the page to number 2 and they have to find the page that has two pictures on it.

The one thing that I did add after I finished the video was I put tabs on the side of each page. I used Wal-Mart cardstock and it was kinda flimsy and made it difficult for Mariah to only flip one page at a time. So since I didn't have any heavier white cardstock, I thought this would make it easier for the kids to flip the pages. It seemed to work great because Mariah was able to flip the pages without any problem after that.
Let me know what you think.

Angry Birds Punch Art

A friend of mine is using a program in her children's church called, "Angry Words", it's a spin off of the "Angry Birds". So she needed some things to decorate her room with. Well, I'll be honest and tell you that I really wasn't sure what the angry birds really were. So my daughter told me they were a game and she showed me some pictures of them. So I got out my punches and this is what I made. All the punches are from stamp-in up. The large base circle is a 4 inch circle cut from my cricut. These were my prototype, so after she saw them and gave me the go ahead I started designing larger one's on my gypsy.

Please excuse the photo quality. I forgot to take pictures of them before I left, so I had to use my phone. Let me know what you think.

Joann's.com Haul and a small complaint

Hi everyone. Here is my haul video from Joann's.com. The last 4 orders I have gotten from them have been messed up or took a month to get to me. So I was a little upset when I had a problem again this time. So here's my video.

Thankful For You Fall Boxes

I showed you all the owl boxes I made. Well, I decided that I needed more - 85 just wasn't going to be enough. So I decided that I would make these ones for our police department and fire department. I really want them to know how much I appreciate the job that they do. So here is what I came up with.

First Day of School

There were a few times over the summer that I thought, (why can't tomorrow be the first day of school) and now I wish we had a few more month. I love spending time with my kids.
They always look so spiffy the first day of school. The end of the first day is a totally different experience though. Jesse will probably be dragging his backpack on the ground, to tired to lift it and Mariah will most likely be covered in ketchup from lunch.

There are days that they can drive me crazy. But I wouldn't have it any other way. They have been the biggest blessing to me from the moment I laid eyes on them. We adopted them both. Jesse came to us the beginning of June and turned 3 July 7th (he turned 20 this past July). He was tiny and wore clothes size 12 month. Mariah came to us the middle of June, had open heart surgery a week later, and turned 3 on August 20th. She was even smaller then her brother. She couldn't walk, crawl or sit up when we got her. She wore size 3 month and was just the cutest little thing you ever saw. She is 13 today. What a great birthday present - SCHOOL.

Acorn Punch Art

A lot of you know that I already did 85 owls and decorated the outside of  2 X 2 X 2 boxes to give out this fall. Well, I decided that 85 wasn't going to be enough so I started on 50 more. I have about 25 more boxes to finish. To decorate the top this time I decided I was a little tired of doing owls and decided to go with Acorns. So here is a video of the acorn punch art I made.
If you could let me know which one you like the best, I'd appreciate it. The one with the small eyes or the one with the large eyes.

Handmade Bracelet

Hope everyone is having a great Thursday today. We aren't doing much of anything today. Just sitting back waiting for the school year to begin on Monday. It gets a lot harder each year, trying to get everyone back on the school schedule. I made a bracelet for one of the girls at my church and I wanted to share it with you.

You're One In A Melon Card

This was a super fun card to make and I used my cricut, which I haven't done in a long time. It felt so good to pull out all my super fun cricut stuff and make this. If you have seen the internet lately you saw where Billy Graham is in the hospital. Well, one of the teenagers in our church came to me and asked if I would help her make a card for Billy Graham and I thought that while I was helping her; I would make one too. I figured he'd get plenty of regular cards filled with all different kinds of scriptures, so I decided to make mine different and this is what I came up with.

I Feel The Love Card

I was given the neatest Die Cut pages. They came all the way from United Kingdom. It's called Woodland Folk and they have the cutest little animals that you punch out and layer up. I really enjoyed making this card and hope that the little girl who gets it, enjoys it too. If you haven't checked out the I Feel The Love Program, go to Madison's blog at www.funkycards.blogspot.com. You will be happy that you did.

Stamp-in Up Haul

Hey guys, hope everyone has a great Sunday. I did some Stamp-in Up shopping out of their regular catalog and new holiday catalog. I am gearing up for my Christmas projects. If you do not have a stamp-in up demonstrator I'd suggest finding one. If you order online with a demonstrator, you get 10% off of your order. They have awesome products and I enjoy everyone that I have. They are getting in what they call framelits (wafer thin dies - like spellbinders and they are great).

Haul from Joann's and Scrapbuck.com

Hey All, a quick haul from Joann's and Scrapbuck.com. This was the first time I shopped at Scrapbuck and I was really pleased with their products, how quickly they shipped, how well they packaged everything and that after $30.00 you got free shipping. (I can't remember if it was $20.00 or $30.00 for the free shipping.) I tried the scor-tape and was very impressed with how strong it is. I will definitely be getting more from them in the future.

Fall Goodie Boxes

I am blessed to live in a small town with so many kind people who help me when I am out and about in my wheelchair. So to give them a little thank you during the holidays and season changes, I give them a small gift and for this fall I decided on goodie boxes. I hope you like them and let me know what you think.

Homemade Blending Tools

I know that a lot of us like our Tim Holtz Inks but purchasing a lot of the ink blending tools can be expensive. So I made some of my own. Here is a video showing you how they turned out and how I did them. They work great and I hope this video helps you get some of your own made.

Haul Video and Christian Topped Goodie Bags

Hi guys, I made some goodie bags for Cheek and Scott, the medical supply place, that are working hard to get me a new mattress for my hospital bed and a special brace for me knee. They are a Christian company, so I wanted to make the bags out of special paper. I hope that they like them. They were super fun and super easy to make.
